Grim Application For Cen
How did you hear about The Grim?
- I searched for well established RP-PvP guilds on RP-PvP realms and discovered The Grim; I believe it was in an online publication called the Twisting Nether Gazette.
What experience do you have with internet forums? Do you check them frequently or infrequently?
- I check some forums frequently but only ones that I am actively interested in. If I make a commitment to be active though then I certainly am (and this is a place I would want to be).
What sort of role-playing experience do you have? Would you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
- I think of myself as an above par RPer. I have played in various tabletop games and am a writer/actor professionally.
The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?
- I do have experience playing such characters (I just finished a role in a film where I was a murderer sparked by the rage of people's entitlement). I will be strait-up and say that Cen is not evil herself, but she hangs with people who are, and she sees necessity in what the Grim are doing.
Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.
- I played before on Feathermoon and recently came back to the game after the announcement of WoD. We wanted to be on an RP-PvP realm and Horde (were alliance before) so we transferred. The guild on Feathermoon was Falling Sands and I don't know if it even still exists.
Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.
- Cen is my main but I have a very savage druid who I will apply with later as well.
What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim. What aspect of the game, if any, do you wish to focus on?
- I expect The Grim to be a mature and supportive group of players: hard application means that once you get through, hopefully you're surrounded by good people! I love to RP and PvP, I also like raid progression and as an immediate goal want to do the CM dungeons before they are gone. Moving ahead I look forward to experiencing Draenor with the rest of you!
What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?
- I usually like to play healers. Was raiding Lich King back in Wrath and have been doing Raid Finder since coming back as I don't have a guild yet. I have gotten my legendary cloak though.
What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?
- I really like playing healers in PvP too. I did a lot of PvP in the game Rift for a while before coming back to WoW. I've begun doing arenas again which is something I'd like to do more of but as a healer I would be better in 3s or 5s; I have mainly been doing 2s. One of the big appeals of The Grim is having like minded people to build relationships with while improving our skills as a team (and having a riot of a time doing so).
Did you read and understand our guidelines on character names, listed at the beginning of this application? (Please note, if your name does not fall within our guidelines and you do not want to do a name change, you are more than welcome to apply under a different character.)
- I read and understand, and approve!
How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?
- I've got a great internet connection. My computer is a lap top which plays okay but I am due to get a new machine during upcoming Black Friday sales. I haven't had issues with frame rate accept when trying certain mods.

Do you have anything further to add?
- I come with two other close real-life friends: Kalless and Bjarnemon (Bjarn's application will come later). I should also say again that Cen is not evil, she is quite esoteric though and not motivated by the same scruples that others usually associate with good and evil.

Thank you for your interest in The Grim. Your letter of intent story was very enjoyable to read, but didn't leave much opening for an IC response, so I'll post here instead. :)
I've been in the process of updating the required reading and just got that posted this morning, so please review the new content, which is the last post, about Grim Roleplay, just to make sure there will be no future misunderstandings.
If you can live with the way we RP, we conduct interviews during office hours. The schedule for September is posted, and it will soon be updated to include October. If you can't make one of the office hours times, let us know, and we'll try to schedule something else.
