How did you hear about The Grim?

I have heard stories about The Grim from my fiance, Malethia, as well as some of his friends who I have been introduced to over time!

What experience do you have with internet forums? Do you check them frequently or infrequently?

I grew up with internet forums. I tend to flake a little about checking them, but if this guild has a healthy forum life I'll definitely add it to my bookmark list! That way I will check it daily.

What sort of role-playing experience do you have? Would you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
I'm pretty newbie with RP, but I'm eager to learn.

The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?

I do not have experience with playing this sort of character in WoW, but I think that it sounds like it would be a lot of fun. I have played this type of character in other role playing games.

Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.

I have been playing WoW for 8 years now (which makes me feel weird, now that I have put a number to it). Over the years, I have been a member and/or an officer for many guilds. Most of them have died out over time, due to people finding new games, or wanting better raiding/PVP/RP/etc. Currently, I am a member of <All or Nothing> on Wyrmrest Accord, but just do not feel as if I click with the members. The last guild I really clicked with was <Vindicated> on WrA, though the guild changed leadership, which caused a massive change in the types of members who found their homes there.

Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.

I am definitely applying on an alt. My main character is Cylindryl on Wyrmrest Accord. I absolutely adore her. I wanted to see if I fit in well with The Grim, so that I can decide if I want to server transfer her or not!

What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim. What aspect of the game, if any, do you wish to focus on?

I love raiding. I would absolutely LOVE to find a group of people who are fun, laid back, and enjoy raiding without being too serious or too stressed about it. That's a difficult balance to find!

What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?

I enjoy DPSing - it will always be my first love. I'm a good healer as well, though I find that it causes me a lot of anxiety sometimes. I have raided endgame content since pre-BC, and have leveled all classes to max with the exception of rogue (raided as one in BC, but never enjoyed it again after LK dropped), warrior, and DK. I've been an avid gamer for the vast majority of my life, but have not gotten into other MMOs.

What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?

I enjoy PVP, but have never really done it seriously. I "grew up" on PVP servers, and enjoy world PVP. I most enjoy my discipline priest(s) in BGs and world combat. I have never really participated in arenas, though I've always had a bit of an interest in it.

Did you read and understand our guidelines on character names, listed at the beginning of this application? (Please note, if your name does not fall within our guidelines and you do not want to do a name change, you are more than welcome to apply under a different character.)

I totally understand it! I have never used a non-character type name, and don't intent to start now.

How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?

I have never had any problems with FPS/load times. Our internet connection is fast and stable!

Higginbottom is a rather strange name, and I am borderline questioning whether it fits in our naming rules. But I see on the Armory you're a goblin, so I can overlook it. Some goblin NPC's in the game have silly-sounding names like that too.
