Grim Application For Quezt, of Ravenholdt

How did you hear about The Grim?
While looking for a guild that is remotely respectable is nearly impossible on my home server, I had given up hope of finding one tailored to my needs and wants. After the merger, I searched again and found you. A bastion wedged away in the waves of level ones, "...we're a laid back...", and "...no drama please...".

What experience do you have with internet forums? Do you check them frequently or infrequently?
I used to frequent forums a lot in my teenage years, going on them at least twice a day. I stopped when they no longer interested me. I'm sure that will change.

What sort of role-playing experience do you have? Would you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
I vary in my talents. I excel in some aspects, such as back story. But, I falter slightly in face-to-group confrontations. Tend to be more outspoken then most- but my experiences with Warcraft's RP has solely been standing around Silvermoon in the inn. Not very engaging for an Undead I can assure you.

The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?
My characters, when I had many, varied in range of emotion- but they were all inherently the same. Quezt, the character I am applying for is Neutral-Evil. She has no true emotion, just the will to survive. And, in most cases, as you know, if it's red- it's dead.

Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.
I was on your server, Twisting Nether, for some time before my first accounts fall. I was in The Dragonhawk Brigade at the time. Fun bunch of people who knew how to run a guild and its many events (used the calender's ability for scheduling, one of the only guilds I've seen use it). I made the mistake of leaving them to join some RL 'friends' who wanted me to join them on Wyrmrest Accord. That was a big mistake. I soon left WoW for a time after that.

Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.
This is my main and only character. I muse with some alts on occasion, but never really stick to them. I may make a shaman eventually... Maybe.

What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim. What aspect of the game, if any, do you wish to focus on?
I am a man who enjoys using every facet of the game I play. I want to do it all. And while, right now, I'm trying to return myself to my old account's former glory. In doing so, I'm failing at doing certain higher-end things. Like raiding or hardcore PVP. Both of which I hope The Grim will assist me in, give me the push needed to get off my lazy, doing dailies everyday, butt and kill some Alliance or Heroic Raid Bosses.

What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?
I've experienced a lot in the past in terms of PvE. I've ran my own 40 man Molten Core to 25 man Black Temple. I stopped raid leading to become more of a follower up to the end of Cataclysm with Dragon Soul. Mainly now I use Open Raid to get transmog gear I desire. I would love to get back into raiding.
I've played a few other MMOs, such as Star Wars: The Old Republic as well as Rift and Runescape. I also played in Blizzards RTS genre, all of it in fact.

What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?
I used to be a regular in the realm of Player-versus-player. Nothing too fancy, I wasn't Pat or anything. Mainly played the stealth game, Druids and Rogues were the class of choice- Some may call that the coward's play style, I call it hilarious. Now I play solely my Hunter. I tend to be an aggressor in most cases, unless the node/flag/bunker is going to be abandoned. I'm not stupid, I know how the game is won. I have PVPed in the games mentioned in PVE.

Did you read and understand our guidelines on character names, listed at the beginning of this application? (Please note, if your name does not fall within our guidelines and you do not want to do a name change, you are more than welcome to apply under a different character.)
I understand them and hope my character's name (designated as her surname) will be considered acceptable.

How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?
I tend to have a decent 30/60 even in high graphic loads, unless I have things open in my second screen, then it tends to be bad. Loading into an environment through hearthing or teleporting does unfortunately give me longer than normal loading times, but soon that problem is to be rectified with more DRAM (which is my main problem). Internet connect is stable as stable can Comcast.

Provide an armory link to your character.
Here you go

Do you have anything further to add?
While I may not be the best, like no one ever was. I do promise to do what I can for the team. Hopefully, both me and my Quezt will be a great addition to your ever growing... Er... Growth.
Peace through Annihilation.

A couple things...

We do expect our members to check the forums regularly, as that's where most of our guild communications and announcements take place. We do use the in game calendar, but the details for each event are usually in a forum post.

You say your character name is her surname. Just understand that most people will call you and her by that name, as it's the one they see on the screen. Some of us use an RP addon, but it is not required, so not everyone uses it.

By the way, Flintlocke was my favorite WoW comic ever.

Yes, well, I got out of forums because they stopped interesting me. Nothing to do, nothing to say- that kind of thing. But I do check on regular basis, even if I don't respond. I'm sure it won't be a problem.

That is acceptable. I welcome it.
And I plan on using an addon as well in the future, once I get around to remembering to download it- herp derp.

Ah, someone of the finer tastes. I can't recount the amount of times no one has known where that line is from. I'm positive I'll enjoy it in your guild's care. And maybe, just maybe, you may laugh at some of my horrible, horrible, jokes.
