How did you hear about The Grim?
Through Sunderpalm.

What experience do you have with internet forums? Do you check them frequently or infrequently?
I check them at least daily.

What sort of role-playing experience do you have? Would you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
I’ve roleplayed online for 13 years now, and I’ve played Dungeons and Dragons for almost as long, so I’ve got a fairly strong grasp of RP etiquette as well as grammar and spelling.

The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?
I do not have experience playing a lawful evil character, but I understand the thinking that goes on behind it, and what could drive a character to that alignment.

Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.
Only one- The Outriders, also on Twisting Nether. I joined because one of my best friends is in that guild, and it was a great way for me to get comfortable with the game, get geared up, and learn how things worked. It is a tiny guild made up mostly of their alts, and as a result we do not do anything, and I feel that I’m ready for a challenge.

Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.
Yes and no. My first max level character is a Pandaren Shadow Priest named Daisha. Philomena is my second, but I was able to pick up her rotation much quicker and I enjoyed playing Paladin a lot more than Priest. I leveled her while tanking through dungeons, and I am finishing her out as a Ret Paladin, so I feel I have more flexibility with her. Majority of the time, I am on Philomena, so in a way she is my new main.

What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim. What aspect of the game, if any, do you wish to focus on?
I’d like to actively explore the larger-scaled, planned out Raids and PvE content the game has to offer. The dungeons are fun on their own, but I can only imagine the power of an organized force taking down some of the toughest bosses the game has to offer. I’d also like to flesh out my characters through RP, and cement their place in the world.

What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?
My experience so far has only been LFR. Class-wise, I prefer Paladin (either Prot or Ret) over Shadow Priest. I really loved tanking in dungeons, but I know that is a role that is only for the most experienced of tanking players, and I am happy to be DPS.

I’ve played MMOs before- I spent several years playing Guild Wars, mostly focusing on competitive PvE and PvP, and I played almost every class except Ritualist and Dervish. When they added the raid-like content I spent most of my time there, as well as on the Jade Sea for PvP (both were added in the Factions expansion). I also played Aion and Guild Wars 2 for a while, but I lost interest in both thanks to the story sort of stalling out. I played EVE Online for a while, but I was almost strictly support.

What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?
In WoW, I don’t have any PvP experience, other than the random encounter while questing where the other players instigate it.

I’ve had PvP experience in Guild Wars, and I also have PvP experience from EVE Online, where I played support classes- I tackled, scrambled, and target painted enemy ships, and I also manned the jump points to move fleets from one system to the contested system in addition to providing shielding and repair drones for damaged ally ships. When an ally was podded (their ship blown up) I provided cover fire to allow them to escape the battle in their capsule.

What is your regular World of Warcraft play schedule? If your answer is "anytime", "flexible", or some other vague word please describe why. Our scheduled interview times are 8pm on Monday and 10am on Wednesdays. Can you make either of those times?
I typically play almost every evening from about 6 PM Central to 9:30 - 10 PM Central, but I'll stay up later if need be. On weekends I’ll log in earlier or stay up later if I feel like it or have something planned in game. Monday evening would be the only interview time I could make.

How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?
My computer is pretty rock solid, and my net connection is reliable, I rarely get below 50-60 fps.

Provide an armory link to your character.

Do you have anything further to add?
I have only been playing the game since December, so there is a lot of lore and boss battle information that I do not know. I’m learning as much as I can, and I do tend to ask questions if something doesn’t quite click for me. My questions are strictly OOC, and I have been doing my best to read up on lore so that my IC interactions fit with the going-ons of the world.
