Grim Application For Osiceca Cloudhoof
How did you hear about The Grim?
I work and am RL friends with Bartantalus.
What experience do you have with internet forums? Do you check them frequently or infrequently?
I have a moderate amount of experience. I check them based on the frequency of usage they receive.
What sort of role-playing experience do you have? Would you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
I would consider myself somewhere between the two extremes. I was part of an RP guild for over a year in LOTRO. I have a good grasp of in character behavior, the only area I find myself lacking in WoW is in knowledge of the world's lore.
The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?
No I do not, however I adapt quickly.
Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.
No I have not.
Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.
I do not have a main character as of yet, I have a Druid at 70 and Osiceca at 35, however I think the Shaman is going to become my main.
What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim. What aspect of the game, if any, do you wish to focus on?
Assuming induction, my expectations are to engage in RP with skilled RP'ers, level while getting to know the members of The Grim, and once at endgame to engage in PvE and possibly PvP content.
What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?
I have run many random PvE groups through the instance finder, however most of these seem rather easy. I have leveled a Druid and Shaman the highest, I enjoy the role of tank, healer, or DPS. I especially enjoy the ability to switch back and forth as needed. I do, in LOTRO I was at cap and ran many of the old and new instances.
What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?
I have played a number of the PvP zones (my favorite being Arathi Basin), and engage in World PvP when I have a prayer of winning. I enjoy DPS the most in a PvP environment, however I have never had a competent group to heal for (everyone just runs and does their own thing). I played a little in LOTRO, however their PvP system is extraordinarily basic and not fun in the least (unless you're willing to grind about 14 ranks while being endlessly zerged by entire raids).
What is your regular World of Warcraft play schedule? If your answer is "anytime", "flexible", or some other vague word please describe why. Our scheduled interview times are 8pm on Monday and 10am on Wednesdays. Can you make either of those times?
My regular play schedule varies depending on work, they randomly generate a schedule for me every week, so it varies on a weekly basis. I could possibly make the Monday (if I wasn't scheduled) and will be able to make the Wednesday date once finals are done.
How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?
Low-fair, I am working on acquiring a gaming computer. I honestly do not know what my FPS is, and my load times (assuming you mean loading screens) are never over 5 seconds. Very stable, I have the occasional burst of lag, however I have never completely lost connection.
Provide an armory link to your character.

Do you have anything further to add?
I would appreciate it if anyone could point me to a good source for Tauren and or Shaman RP. I can glean some information from Wowwiki and the like, however I do not feel that I have a full understanding of the background of either group. Other than that I look forward to hearing from The Grim!

We will seek you out. If there is a change to your schedule that would make you unable to make the meeting times, please let us know.
Re: Osiceca
I just did a quick Google search for you. A lot of wowwiki links came up, but you already know about that site.Osiceca Cloudhoof wrote:I would appreciate it if anyone could point me to a good source for Tauren and or Shaman RP. Re: Osiceca
Thanks Syreena! I'd seen some of these, however the joystiq shaman one was quite helpful and utterly new to me. It really helped my understanding of the character :)Syreena wrote:I just did a quick Google search for you.
