(IC) What name or title do you go by?
-Aleistair the Fallen

(IC) What is your gender and race?
-Male Forsaken

(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
-I am a demonologist (or a "warlock" if you prefer that term). I began studying demonic magick shortly before the plague of undeath swept across Lordaeron. I have found that the only creatures one can truly trust are those whom one truly controls.

(IC) How many "Honorable" Kills do the Battlemasters currently have recorded for you?
-I have killed a mere fifteen members of the Alliance. This will change.

(IC) What drives you in life? How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?
-I am driven by the thirst for knowledge, as knowledge is power. I bear much hatred for the pious, hypocritical Alliance who seeks the eradication of our species due to our curse, yet did not turn away the blasted Worgen of Gilneas. The Lich King, the Twilight's Hammer Cult, the Scarlet Crusade... When my magic is strong enough, I will make them all suffer. I will bring this wretched world to its knees and make it fear my name.

(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
-Prior to my death and subsequent undeath, I lived a life similar to that of a sewer rat. I was born Alexander Nicholas, the bastard son of a prostitute and a priest of the holy light. I never met my accursed father, of whose shame I was an eternal token. I worked in the tavern of Brill, cleaning dishes and scrubbing floors, for years. When there was no food, I would steal it. When I would get sick (which was quite often) I had no choice but to continue working. The sights and sounds and smells of that infernal tavern bred within me a seething hatred for my father, and for humanity in general. When the second war came, I relished the opportunity to join the King's army and escape from my miserable existence for while. I did not care who we were fighting. I saw little action in the war, and returned home shortly after the Horde was defeated. When I strode into the tavern, ready to use the soldier's compensation to liberate my mother, it was to find her in her room, beaten to death by one of her customers. I tracked the brute down in the following days, and I plunged my dagger seven times into his fat stomach. To avoid arrest, I changed my name to Aleistair and moved to Capital City. It was then that I became an avid reader, developing a fascination for forbidden magicks. In later years, as news of the plague spread, I was killed by a group of paladins who suspected me of being associated with the "Cult of the Damned." Needless to say, I was given a second chance by the Dark Lady and have served her ever since.

(IC) What are your thoughts of the new direction the Horde has taken since the Cataclysm?
-I see no problem with the Orc Warchief's policy of taking what our people need. The Dark Lady seems to be taking similar measures. In my opinion, they are not doing enough.

(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members. What does that mean to you?
-I haven't yet fully developed a role-playing character in this game. I do enjoy role playing, and I see it as an opportunity to demonstrate skill in things other than gameplay. Those who can make their character unique and interesting deserve as much respect as those who can carry a battleground or top a dps chart.

(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by a structure with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies. Does this definition conflict with how you want to play your character? If it does, how do you expect to handle the conflict with other members?
-No. Complete annihilation of our enemies is clearly the only way to guarantee peace and prosperity. The Alliance has had plenty of chances to work with us, but their prejudice and hotheadedness has sealed their fate.

(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line? Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
-I have never really done serious role-playing. My main character is on a PvE server (Kriegen of Malfurion). I have played characters on RP servers but until now I haven't encountered a group of serious role-players. However, I consider myself well immersed in game lore (been playing since Warcraft: Orcs and Humans) and I am eager to test my writing skills, reaction skills, etc.

(OOC) Is this character a server-transfer or has it been renamed recently? If so, what was your previous server and/or in-game name?
-Nope

(OOC) What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?
-I am looking for a fresh, new game experience with people who actually enjoy WoW and its rich story. I hope to meet interesting characters and interact with them through another character's perspective.

(OOC) When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get into the swing of being Grim. In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair approximation of your play schedule. Please give a general outline below, OR if you wish to keep it private, send a PM to Ashenfury.
-I am in high school, and I generally play between the hours of 2pm and midnight (CST) on weekdays, and whenever the hell I feel like playing on weekends. I am currently on spring break and will be playing very frequently until April 2nd.

(OOC) Please provide an armory link to your character for verification.

(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?

OOC - I normally play an orc warrior, so the role of a scholarly Forsaken is somewhat new to me. It sort of annoys me when characters act unnecessarily evil without having reasons or justifications for doing so. I tend to be somewhat philosophical when role-playing, so don't be afraid to tell me to shut up once in a while.

IC - I hope we will find my participation in your organization to be mutually beneficial. I promise to use my power for the good of the Grim, so that we may all see our dream of peace through annihilation come to fruition.
