The Eyeless

Unread post by Brass »

(IC) What name or title do you go by?
"In life, my name was unimportant compared to my duties. Now, I am better known simply as the 'Eyeless'."

(IC) What is your gender and race?
"I am Forsaken. Beyond that, should my gender be of any importance at this point?"

(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
"In life, I was a high ranking Operative of the No'arshe Fen - the now-defunct Violet Dagger of Dalaran, answerable to the Kirin Tor alone. Of the many duties charged this order I can speak of, I was primarily tasked with researching and investigating suspicious magical activites with subtlety and autonomy. To do so, I was trained by the finest minds in spotting patterns, infiltration, stealth, as well as physical, psychic, and even metaphysical forms of self defense. When necessary, it would fall to operatives such as myself the task of terminating any danger posed to the safety of the city (and world) without drawing attention, burying forbidden research or magics along with those who delved too deeply into them. What I can speak of these dangers generally included conjuration of Demons from the Twisting Nether, Necromantic experimentation, accusations of psychic tampering, and countless other dangers that most would be happier not knowing of. In death, the No'arshe Fen no longer 'exist' - formally denied by today's Kirin Tor despite attempts to revive it and be recognized (In particular, Alliance meddling from Veressa Windrunner who plays Rhonin like a harp). Despite all that has happened, I continue my duty - enhanced by my condition, knowledge, and skills - as a Rogue in the service of the Forsaken and Horde."

(IC) Who is sponsoring you? What are you bringing to The Grim to be sponsored?
"I am sponsored by no one, but I am of the understanding that there is an individual you've invited into your organization known as 'Beetlegeuse'. He is a very dangerous individual and I'm very familiar with him and his nature. If such a being can find membership, I am certain that my talents will prove useful. As for what I bring to the Grim - as in life, I am an avid study of History (Natural and Otherwise), Titanic Biology, and Arcane Sciences - in addition to my more practical training as a spy, infiltrator, thief, and, when necessary, assassin."

(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?

"I died during the Scourge Invasion of Dalaran. After many years unable to break free of the Lich King's psychic lock, my 'awakening' took place in Tirisfal Glades - wherein, I was immediately welcomed and inducted into the Forsaken. Among them, I learned of recent history - of my condition (benefits and disadvantages) - and of the precarious existance we Restless Dead faced together. They became my people; their survival against the callousness of the living and the vengeance against the Scourge became my new cause. On behalf of the Forsaken, I fought beside the Horde I'd considered enemy in life - finding solace during this time also by learning from the Tauren. All the while, I would search for vestiges of my former Order that could remain. Discovering several survivors (of sorts) among the Forsaken and Sin'dorei, as well as bearing witness to the emergence of Dalaran once more during the Second Scourge Invasion, we gathered in petition to be reinstated and supported during the battles of Northrend. Though the Horde under Thrall would recognize our legitimacy as a 'Guild', the 'new' Kirin Tor would not be so accepting. Unable to restablish ourselves, the last of the No'arshe Fen faded into other Guilds and causes throughout the Horde - cast aside despite our service. During the time since, I've served the Forsaken, Sin'dorei, and Tauren, as well as many Guilds in a cursory capacity - my most recent was the Dragonhawk Brigade, though my presence there was cursory."

(IC) What are your thoughts of the new direction the Horde has taken since the Cataclysm?

"We stand on the precipice of the Fourth War we've been long expecting, and it is frustratingly ignorant of the larger picture. The sacrifices made by Warchief Thrall and Jaina Proudmoore have prevented nothing - wasting years and lives - while the manipulations of the Cult of the Damned and Twilight Cult prove that our leaders have been ignorant of the larger powers moving about Azeroth. Our new Warchief is tactically foolhardy and diplomatically inept, blind to all but archaic delusions of barbaric glory - which will reveal its cost soon. Quickly arrives the time where this Second Horde will be truly tested by a unified front - and my people along with it, hated as we are on all sides. It is clear that as the Second Alliance is being manipulated by a Shadow Government, using their 'SI:7', and using Varian Wrynn as a figurehead. Whomever the SI:7 really is loyal to, it is apparent that they would weaken the defense of our world against the forces beyond - and have consistently. We know that Deathwing's daughter, in the guise of Lady Davana Prestor, had to have had help throughout the Court of Stormwind. Of all options acceptable at this moment, it is clear that the Alliance as a political and military power must be eradicated to remove this shadow government's control. In doing so, only then will there be a potential for a Third - unified - Force of Azeroth, where we face the greater enemy that we all know is present, waiting for the decisive moment to strike."

(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?
The Eyeless is an alt - and one I hope to use to aid the Pillagers PvP group ultimately (who are in need of a Rogue). I would like a chance to play him more often, and he is my more 'serious' of characters. He has the attitude of a Detective Inspector mixed with a Scientist/Professor. Throw in a hefty amount of Conspiracy Theorist; Duchovnian kind of feel. Eyeless is a Forsaken 'naturalist' of sorts; a huge supporter of the Forsaken. However, he is also very balanced. Logical. Reasonable, though he can be manipulative and calculating. Generally, prefers non-violent methods whenever possible. However, he does not hesitate to kill when it is apparent to him there is no other way. His attitude towards the Alliance these days echoes that sentiment - he will kill any who protect the 'shadow' government.

"May there be Peace through Annihilation. May the Alliance fall and enlightenment spread from its overthrow. The time is neigh for action."
" WARNING : Protection Tank will be Defensive. "
