(IC) What name or title do you go by?
- In life I went by the name Tyner Valen. Ashamed after my return to civilization from the Ebon Hold I went by the name Valentyne, a play on my first and last name. I now answer to either.
(IC) What is your gender and race?
- Male Sin'dori
(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
- I was a simple farmer turned soldier in life. I was not given the option to join Arthas' ranks. I did not choose this curse.
(IC) How would you describe yourself?
- I am unmerciful toward the enemy. I have a selfless duty to thise I ally with whether friend, family, order or faction. I do not accept failure. Some have called me cold in my resolve toward my enemies. I call it focused.
(IC) How many "Honorable" Kills do the Battlemasters currently have recorded for you?
- 58104
(IC) What drives you in life? How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?
- I have been a firm supporter of the ideal that once the Lich King fell the Alliance will have no other option then to attack their next largest threat, the Horde. As a member of the Horde, this is not an acceptable option. If the Grim feels the same way about the Alliance threat to our homeland that I do, my joining will be mutually beneficial.
(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
- I commanded a defensive order called Shadowhaven. At any hour of any day when a Horde city, no matter the size was attacked, my order would defend. I also served in Alterac Valley, gaining great renown with the Frostwolves. During this time I studied tactical knowledge of many Horde cities and battlegrounds.
(IC) What are your thoughts on the pact between the Alliance and the Warchief Thrall?
- Despite owing much to Thrall for my acceptance into the Horde, I see Thrall as a weak hypocrite, speaking peace in one breath and handing prestigious war bears to heroes of the Horde. This is unacceptable.
(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members. What does that mean to you?
- Full immersion means maintaining my in-character persona while partaking in any activities while on that character, from simple talks with other characters or giving orders in a battleground. I do realize that there is a place for OOC talk activities within my play time but these times are to be kept at a minimum.
(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by structure and a defined chain of command with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies. How does your character's personality and storyline follow the Grim Mandate? Is there any conflict between how you want to play your character and the theme of the Grim? If so, what do you expect out of joining us?
- As long as the Grim remain loyal to total destruction of the Alliance as a whole, there will be no conflict. There is no means, motives or tactics too severe.
(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line? Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
- I have role played in some form for 17 years. Online for 2 years.
(OOC) Do you have any previous WoW experience? (PvP, Raiding, Battlegrounds, Different Servers, Different Guilds, Different Factions, etc.)
- I have 2 years of WoW experience. I have always PvPd and have a deep love for that part of the game. I have gained the Challenger title in 5v5 and is more then half way to the "of the Horde" title. I have lead over 5 flawless For the Horde runs, 2 of which were just within hours of each other back to back. My guild has defended countless For the Alliance attempts and is versed in the proper tactics of mobilizing, staging and being successful in defense of each Horde leader. I have little to none raiding experience but I have done all the five man content countless times, have the best gear marks/justice points can get for tanking and DPS, gemmed/enchanted properly, and know my rotation and class. I also know how to take advice from those more knowledgeable then I and know when to keep my mouth shut and do my job. I have played on the Wyrmrest Accord server (RP), lead a RP PvP guild there for over a year and a half, and have always remained loyal to the Horde, only stomaching a now deleted Alliance alt to level 15.
(OOC) Is this character a server-transfer or has it been renamed recently?
- This character is a server transfer. I have the name saved on an alt that will be deleted moments before the paid transfer.
(OOC) What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?
- I am looking for a varied play experience. I would like to bring up my PvP with other players devoted to that phase of the game. I am also looking to get my feet wet in introductory raiding perhaps filling spots in low end raids at first. I am also looking for a online family of friends to get to know and enjoy my play time with while logged in.
(OOC) When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get into the swing of being Grim. In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair approximation of your play schedule. Please give a general outline below, OR if you wish to keep it private, send a PM to Aquizit.
- 3-5pm server time to 9-11pm
(OOC) Please provide an armory link to your character for verification.
- http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... =Valentyne
(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?
- The only way is to create peace is through the annihilation of the enemy. Peace through annihilation!

Re: Tyner Valen and/or Aeiou (two characters)
Xondor confuse... Is elf? Is troll mon? Is BOTH?! Half-elf, half troll mon?! Xondor needs to kill it if so...
And... answer confuse Xondor... no understand talk about self funny... but no talk about self like Xondor talk about Xondor, is something else... like troll mon talk about elf but no in troll speak...
Entire thing make Xondor head hurt... Puppy agree...
((the IC questions should be answered as in first person, or if youre going a third person route at least more IC... like someone speaking on behalf of someone else. its not, what is your character like in IC, its answers in IC... your OOC answers are fine. Feel free to look through the other apps (Id recommend some older ones since a few of the newer ones have been just ok) and see what I mean.
Also... the current rules are... one character in guild until youre a full member (complete your inquisition process) at which point you can add in an alt. These rules are subject to change but as they currently stand thats what it is, so youll need to pick one char to apply as.))

Re: Tyner Valen and/or Aeiou (two characters)
Hmm. A case of the creeping madness?
Re: Tyner Valen and/or Aeiou (two characters)
I see where I have made a mistake and edited my application for further review. I was in a bit of a hurry from excitement to apply when I saw the guilds theme and overlooked a few things regarding the IC and OCC portions of the application.
