Agrovale
(IC) What name or title do you go by?
Agrovale is my name of birth and has not changed unless you count the myrid of curses uttered by my enemies.
(IC) What is your gender and race?
When I was living I was a male human. When I was turned into the Scourge I was just that. When I was freed I was forsaken. When I died I became the Scourge once more. Now I am undead.
(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
I am a Death Knight. Contrary to belief the choice was not granted to me. Arthas ripped my soul from its just reward and forced me to serve once more.
(IC) How would you describe yourself?
An undead corpse animated by my hatred for the Scourge, the Alliance, and Arthas himself.
(IC) What drives you in life? Why do you want to be Grim?
Do you not mean unlife? What drives me is revenge. Pure and simple. No need to dig two graves for I am already dead. The Grim's goals match my own.
(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
Served the Scourge then broke free of Arthas's control. I joined a guild that was supposedly a naval guild. It helps to broaden one's knowledge and my lack of searfaring was the main reason. They did not live up to my standards so I left them.
(IC) What are your thoughts on the pact between the Alliance and the Warchief Thrall?
The only thing the Alliance are good for is creating a ghoul from their rotting corpse.
(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members. What does that mean to you?
Its a me, Mario! I mean its me Krin. Doesn't RP mean butterflies and rainbows?
(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by structure and a defined chain of command with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies. How does your character's personality and storyline follow the Grim Mandate? Is there any conflict between how you want to play your character and the theme of the Grim? If so, what do you expect out of you joining?
Agrovale is a long standing character from previous gaming incarnations and every incarnation he was Lawful Evil. Nothing wrong with order as long as it benefits yourself.
(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line? Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
Been rping since the red box days of D&D.
(OOC) Do you have any previous WoW experience? (PvP, Raiding, Battlegrounds, Different Servers, Different Guilds, Different Factions, etc.)
Nope. Not one iota. Isn't WoW some workout term?
(OOC) What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?
Comradiship? Friends getting together and kicking ass in the game.
(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?
Syreena is a noob.

Re: Agrovale
Freed and of your own will only to fall under the Lich King's thrall...again? How long until we see you rise as Scourge once more?

Re: Agrovale
That is not how the magics of my reanimation work. Should I die the true death my body will rot into fine powder and putrified flesh. Arthas knows this which is why he has created a new batallion of Death Knights instead of trying to convert us once more. I am free of the Scourge forever more.

Re: Agrovale
You mistake me. It is not that I am concerned that you would become Scourge once more - rather that you are asking us to accept such a weak will into our ranks. How long before your will falters once again?

Re: Agrovale
The same can be said of you. All you need to do is die while fighting him and you shall be reborn as a Death Knight. For those who already went through this process, it is a impossibility. As I said before once we die the true death our bodies become useless for reanimation. While we live Arthas can never control us. When we die there is nothing for him to control.

Re: Agrovale
You attribute each loss of will to a cycle of death and reanimation, after which, you eventually break free - and as you cannot possibly be reanimated any longer, you believe loss of will to no longer be an issue. Fine. But life, and unlife I assume, proves that one does not necessarily need to die and be reanimated to find one's will weak enough to be swayed.
One could even question if it were the will that was lacking to begin with, death and reanimation merely acting as catalysts for loss of it. Do you understand the... concern... now?
The same cannot be asked of the High Inquisitor, as it is only known to have happened to her once. You, on the other hand, present yourself with... cycles.

Re: Agrovale
Since you were not there for the battle at Light's Chapel, I shall explain what is known to Death Knights and Scourge who have broken free like The Leaper. When you are Scourge you..know of your past life but it is not of any consequence nor meaning. Until you are freed and then such memories form a buffer against the Scourge or Arthas from taking over again. They cannot remove such memories once restored. And no I do not know why but it is there.
When you die you relinquish the power of memory. This is how Arthas was able to enslave Forsaken once again after they have broken free. Unless a member of the Forsaken willingly rejoins the Scourge and surrenders the power of memories. Then they are a fool.
So the will of a Death Knight cannot be taken or destroyed in death, life, or unlife by Arthas or the Scourge. Should anyone else die a true death and Arthas finds your body, then you can understand this pattern first hand. I did not ask if the High Inquisitor could, I merely stated that her or anyone else will fall under the sway of the Scourge as I did should you die true death. Unless they are freed from the curse as I and many of my brethren were.

Re: Agrovale
I am sure I understood all of that - death and reanimation.
That was not the question.

Re: Agrovale
Very well. I shall give you a more simplified answer. No, my will is not and never was weak.
