well my background downloader stopped at 40% a few days ago and never got past that point and i'm in the office now.  won't be able to start on the patch until after 5 est.  i don't have high hopes that i'll finish it in time but i'll try

Yeah, my downloader is sitting at 66% currently.  I think I heard someone mention last night that there's still a significant chunk beyond what the download grabs?  So, yeah.

Who planned a raid on a major patch night?  ;-P

guess I'll start it after i get home too, and be ready for tomorrow. Reg's gonna be a busy bee leveling inscription before raid.... you're a good man charlie brown. thanks reg.

My patch finished via the background downloader, so when I started it today, it was at 98%.. (1.2GB)

It then patches again.. from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2... again, mine started at 95%.. (330MB? I forget this one)

So it's not -that- bad if your background downloader finished up.

Installed it this morning before I left for work (I'm wearing a tie today, WHAT HAVE I BECOME).  If the background downloader is failing for you, I think it's possible to acquire the whole patch file as a direct download?

I spent all last night dreaming about training Inscription and having it go horribly wrong.  According to my dream, pigments are little candles in wire balls and the Inscription trainer is on a hotel patio by the sea.  You heard it here first!

Downloaded the whole patch while I was watching TV.  Your sign on screen is now keyed to WotLK with some cool graphics in the background. 

Okay...blizz background downloader is STRANGE...heh.  while I had to download the 1.2 gig from 0, nothing at all pre downloaded, and so JUST got done..the second patch....was 97% predownloaded.  less then 10 minutes to complete evenw ith my torrent hating connection.  So it's looking like I will be done WELL on time, and inscriptions should be available within an hour of server going live I'd think.

Okay.  blizz is a bastard.  after putting all their efforts into getting pvp and normal servers up..a small spattering of rp, and ONE pvp server that got put up 30 mins AFTER their original projected all servers up by time...theres an error on retrieveing char lists on some servers.  So..they seem to be focusing on that issue, no ETA on the many servers not even attempted to be brought up, and it's not till 4:L30 pacific before they plan to release WTF is up with the problem with retireving char lists.  I'll be on soon as it's up though...making inscriptions.
