Grim Camping Trip 2009 Poll - San Diego or Pittsburgh?

After speaking to Syreena, I feel it's time to put up a little vote concerning Grim Camping 2009. She has voiced her interest in trying to go someplace else, and nobody has really spoke up. I would like to speak up, and give the option for San Diego. This would put the camping trip on the west coast, and could cause some problems (or give the opportunity) for some people. While San Diego has a lot of things to do, a lot more than Pittsburgh... logistically speaking, it's best to cater to the crowd that *is* going to show up, instead of the *maybe*.
So, time to put down a vote. We'd like to hear from everybody who has the least bit of interest in this. The last two years have been an absolute blast, and no matter where we have it... we're going to have a shitload of fun.
I've put up confirmed and possible choices, just because we're more interested in confirmed than possible. If you think you can make it? Great, we hope you do... but we aren't going to make plans for "I might." As always, 10 or so people say they "might" make it... and they never do. So, we're interested in the 15-20 who *can* make it... and that's how we're going to decide.
Time frame? Expect sometime in the May to June time frame. If your attendance is *really* dependent on the time, just give us the window you can make it; if you are a maybe or confirmed. While we can't promise much, it's good to know! The only thing that sucked about the camping trip, especially last years, was the fucking rain. I hate rain when I'm camping... especially when I'm trying to nerd it up.
--------------------
San Diego Things To Do
- The Beach! (Coronado Beach has been voted in the top five beaches of the US for quite a number of years in a row. Mission Beach isn't that bad either)
- Theme Park Attractions. (San Diego Zoo and Sea World)
- Close to LA (Disneyland Resorts, Universal Studios, Six Flags, Gang Violence, Smog)
- Close to the mountains (Mountain stuff)
- Technically, 5 hour drive to Las Vegas
- Tour Abric's Naval Warship!
- Mexico as an option (hardly an option, though)
- 24/7 Stores with Alcohol
- Not many bugs! Nice, cool weather.
Pittsburgh Trip
- Rustic Mountainous Outdoors!
- Caving
- Horseback Riding
- Rafting
- Paintballing
- Nice campsite
- Had it there the last two years, and no complaints but for rain
