MMO Champ an attack site?

For the first time today Avast has declared that MMO Champ is an attack site. Anyone else noticed this? I figure it's just Avast being a bit overprotective the way it is once in a while but thought I'd ask around.

Any website that uses an ad network can become a vector if the network is compromised. Of course, mmo-champ might have been hacked ...

They stated on Facebook that they have not been compromised and it's a glitch.

I had the same thing happen to me with Elitist Jerks a few weeks ago. I didn't get that google page, but my anti-virus popped up a warning that an attack on my computer had been blocked. :/

I always thought EJ could be trusted, same as MMO Champion. I'm wondering if someone is able to embed some malicious code in the comments section or something, I really have no idea what else could have caused it.. but I'm afraid to even go back to the site, which sucks cause there is information there I could use.

As I said. These websites use advertising networks. The ads you see on those sites are not hosted on them, but on their ad networks. Network gets compromised -> all sites that use the network get compromised.
