I was split 50/50 on the movie versus the tv series. I remember when the tv series came out, I really wished I could yank actors from either or and make the perfect cast.

the extended version by lynch was such a great movie. i love it and in fact watched my copy of it this past weekend

I've been contemplating re-reading the series (perhaps after I finish Game of Thrones). I also told Anaie he has to read them.

I remember hurrying to finish the first book minutes before the mini-series aired.

I have to agree Kharzak. This all came about with Therean and I joking about spice and I said "Spice sustains all life on Arakis" he asked wtf Arakis is and I replied "THE SLEEPER MUST AWAKEN!" and promptly created this post.
