Cataclysm

It occurs to me that Blizzard will not let too much more than 6 months go by without some sort of release for WoW. With 3.3 due out it (probably) November - I am now pretty sure that they are targeting a summer release for Cataclysm. Marketing wise I am not sure what is up - maybe trying to hook people into still playing over the summer.

I think summer may be a bit too early, unless the sweeping changes they discussed at Blizzcon are a lot farther into development than they've implied. I'm more expecting we'll see something like Sunwell - where Illidan turned out to NOT be the final boss of the Burning Crusade (and we instead got Kil'Jaeden), Arthas will turn out to spawn something even more dire than the Lich King.

I'll be way surprised if it's later than June.

I don't think they ever said "BT will totes be the last release in TBC" which is what they have said about IC.

Content between icecrown and cataclysm is planned. I can't remember what thread it was in but they said things will change and events will lead up to cataclysm.

This is true, but it doesn't there will be any major content patches, ie new raid tiers. If anything, I see maybe a new battleground and some world events to get the mood set for Cataclysm. I really don't see any new raids between Arthas bitin' the big one and Cataclysm's release.

Maybe a Zul'Drak version of Zul'Aman? WIT FULL TIER SETS IN DA TROLLISH FASHION?
A Troll can dream.

They do have their troll fetish when it comes to raids. Suprised there hasn't been a troll raid yet.

Considering one of the best questlines and zones is a troll based one, they may have considered troll content taken care of already. Although I'd love another troll raid...they have the BEST looking gear

I think they really did a lot to close off the storyline in Zul'drak, between the two quest chains and Gundrak itself. I'm not sure I really see room for another raid in there, but this is the same company that gave us spacefaring blue tentacle-faced aliens, so.

Please no more Troll content. I long for the day when there is a new xpac without one piece of Troll Content. Ugh.
