Well, the military called me today, I'm accepted into a Course to become a signal Op.

Yay..

Now here is the bad news... I may not be making it to the camping trip.. Not unless I can get away for just the weekend and have someone grab me and head down.

The course is 14 weeks,
Starts Aug 3rd and ends Nov 6th
I am stuck at the base with no leave until Sept 3rd, I -may- be able to squeeze some weekend time off after the 3rd, but that is not confirmed and likely hard to do.
Until then, I am in the Quebec base.. St. Jean

Remember to hit your head a lot with a pick axe handle to make sure you get into the army mentality!

So the course starts August...you leave for the base then, or you're there now? Either way, congrats on getting in, man!

Which part of Signal Ops are you doing? Grats Guduk.  Maybe you will be assigned to the other canoe of the Canadian Navy.  Unless you joined the military then you can hope you get Dudly Doright as your boss.

I don't specialize right away, its just Signal Op's for now. I plan to go into Networking and Database management.. and I will be Army, sorry, no Canoe for me.
The course starts August, I will likely be at the base on August the 1st

Recruitment Officer: Just sign on the dotted line, patriots, and I'll give you your discount cards.
Fry: Just out of curiosity, we could use the cards to buy gum, then immediately quit the army, right?
Bender: You know, playing you all for chumps?
Recruitment Officer: Correct. There's no obligation.
[Fry and Bender sign their cards, giggling]
Recruitment Officer: Unless, of course, war were declared.
[Siren blares]
Fry: What's that?
Recruitment Officer: War were declared.
