Network frustrations

So earlier today my connection went caput. Thinking it was a weather issue it didn't really bother me. Checked it an hour later, still nothing. So I go downstairs and check the router and the modem. Both are fine. Check brothers computer, he can get online no problem. Issue obviously with my macbook pro specifically.
Well crap.
Tried rebooting which worked last time. Reset the airport on the computer which worked the 5 times prior to that. Network hasn't changed, in fact I was online in wow when the connection up and died.
Reset the modem, reset the router. Nothing.
The mac finds and recognizes the network itself, full bars and all that but when I go to actually connect to safari or firefox, nothing. And running the apple diagnostic claims its an isp issue. And google is failing me since I have tried all the mac forums suggest that I understand and still nothing. Well short of reinstalling the OS.
Help would be much appreciated.
