That's it. Blizzard announced this creative writing contest:

Blizzard Entertainment is proud to present its first global writing contest.  If you enjoy the Blizzard Entertainment universes and have the drive to pen fantasy fiction in them, here’s your chance to shine.

Whether you conjure stories in your free time or write for a living, you’re encouraged to participate. This contest is open to entrants from around the world, and will be judged by Blizzard Entertainment’s own writers and masters of lore.

To enter, submit a 3,000 to 10,000 word story written in English and set in the Warcraft, StarCraft, or Diablo universe by April 12 and earn your chance to visit the Blizzard Entertainment headquarters and meet the writers and staff behind the lore seen in the games and books.

I was just about to post this!

I probably will.  No sense in not doing it, really.  If nothing else, it's incentive!  Just need to brainstorm something.  I'll probably dig up some canon character they never fleshed out to play with.

Remember, the old guildportal site is still active and has all the old stories everyone wrote if you need to find them. You'll have to deal with the Ads but its not too bad.

Mort mentioned this on TNG and I think its probably good advice.  For this contest it might be best to submit something that hasn't been already "published" so to speak.  Blizzards readers could very easily google the entries to check.

Probably the same as Quebec, Maryland doesn't like others playing in her sandbox.  She is a possessive being!
