Pre-Patch PvP

Anyone played around in the pre-patch PvP?

In every game I played I found healers to be 200% more annoying and even harder to kill.

Not sure if this is simply a lack of artifacts currently or what but holy crap.

Not so much on Affliction. If I keep DoTs applied to everything (prioritizing 10 stacks of Agony + UA), the spread pressure opens up a weak target that can easily be a feasible kill target. When you're ready to kill, interrupt the healer.

I'm not sure if UA stacks > Drain Soul or Drain Life yet when it comes to landing a kill.

I'll be around for some games, we should do some later. I really want to try out some Enhancement Shaman soon.

I was sucking as Affliction, and even more so as Demonology. Still brought pain as Destruction despite Borghul's low gear level. Chaos Bolts 4 Ever!

The stat templates are already active in instanced pvp, right?

That's right, Canai. Everyone's ilvl should be working at about 700 as default, anyone wearing better gear has no greater than a 10% stat advantage.

Awatu, Destro actually gets better than that. Are you aware that Shadowburn nearly does the same amount of damage as Chaos Bolt baseline? Without burst, Chaos Bolt is the clear winner, but with burst if you use the new Dark Soul talent, Havoc, then spam Shadowburn (it's no longer an execute), you'll destroy everything in your path except for Holy Priests.

Bwahaha, Awatu has no excuse then!

I didn't get my stuff setup yet to do anything in game. Perhaps this weekend?

Soul Harvest. It looks like Dark Soul, bursts like Dark Soul, and even uses the word soul in its name. The only difference is that you can gain a better (or worse) version of it based on how proactive you are with DoT application.

Maybe it's just Demo.

But I felt like... a... I don't know. If I could single a target out I did fine.

But as soon as people saw me summoning a crapload of demons it become "MURDER WARLOCK!".

That and if anyone had heal support I felt like I didn't do anywhere near enough damage to hold a candle to them.

This may also boil down to me not having my skull cannon yet and also I am possibly just not prioritizing things right in PvP.

It kinda doesn't help that Demonology doesn't have a "burst now plz" button. Everything is timing.

mmm champ sez that demo is wet noodle at the moment, like, still hit with the 6.2 nerfbat wet noodle.

affy is meh, also undertuned but not as bad as demo.

destro is the only one worth seriously considering, even though demo is almost universally described as fun.

Here is an addon that may assist any aspiring Demo locks.

*apparently*, in PvE, the class trinket and tier set are making Demo crazy OP. noodle to flame-thrower depending on procs. lame sauce.

Also check out zPets.

Well yeah, and yer not gonna be wearing your pve tier either, which does make my post a little off-topic but I made it to illustrate how easy it is to tune a PoS spec.
