If the people raise a great howl against my barbarity and cruelty, I will answer that war is war, and not popularity seeking.
Re: Error 37.
I must say I'm most impressed on the difficulty of this game so far.
My mind was blown when I first stepped into Nightmare Act III where really started to get ridiculous. I had a death grip on my mouse for hours. The coordination and cooperation from my friend and I were virtually raid caliber. Although perhaps the fact that we'd been awake for almost 18 hours solid was contributing to it.
The affixes are phenomenal. Fast forward to Hell and the very first Champion pack completely decimated and destroyed us. We were stomped into the ground and then set on fire. It's going to take quite a bit of gear farming, strategy and balls of steel to march on further.
I imagine the screams and moans that the difficulty is too high hasn't even started yet because I for one think its outrageously awesome.
This game is gonna take forever to crush under my boot and I love it.
They nerf this and I'll be pissed.

Re: Error 37.
ActIII was the only part that presented a challenge on normal and thats only because I got really difficult vortex elites as a wizard. Nightmare impressed me from the very get go and I can't wait for Inferno.

Re: Error 37.
I have to echo Ashenfury here. Act 3 as my Demon hunter sucked when those teleporting steroided out minotaurs would anal rape me while I am trying to run away and get distance. Then give those fuckers molten and it is a world of hurt. Nightmare started off strong and looks pretty so far.
FYI If you are playing Demon Hunter I found the Bola with larger explosives rune awesome for Act 3 save for the burrowing Grabboids. For some reason once they go underground they automatically dodge and you can't kill the fuckers unless you stand there, get raped, and let the bola explode on em.
Act 3 is rewarding if you take the Scoundrel into the crater. His comments are hilarious.

Re: Error 37.
Know what would of been awesome? If they tried to incorporate guilds or gatherings or permanent groups of something in Diablo 3. They have the technology (chatty chat through the mobile auction house), it's a pity they didn't exploit it.
Re: Error 37.
Funny you mention that Abric I was thinking about starting a small RP group of Hellfire only players that are Horadric Treasure Hunters. To be part of it you will have to have a certain +magic item find (Since it averages between players in multiplayer games... yes I'm serious... yes it's bullshit).
Re: Error 37.
So - all those gold spammer friend requests you are getting? Seems it may of been because Blizzard forced everyone into general chat. With everyone being in there for at least 10 seconds (I doubt anyone got out of the channel any quicker when first logging on), that seems to have been enough for the gold sellers to pick up on sending you requests.
Haven't seen a blue post just yet - but that seems to be the general interwebs consensus. Diablo development team is making some pretty silly mistakes!

Re: Error 37.
I'm still in general chat and see no reason to leave. Considering joining class chats while I play them.
Re: Error 37.
Speaking of chat I haven't explored the features but is it like D1 and D2 where it's loosely IRC based and we can create our own channels? a la TheGrim chat

Link.
Diablo 3 isn't hitting the mark they suspected. That may mean some ramifications for us in the WoW world, as that may of thought there was more time between Diablo 3 dropping and Mists dropping.
... which also means a longer time for Heart of the Swarm.
CONSPIRACY!

More telling is the fact that Vivendi (the people who own 60% of Activision, who owns Blizzard) is trying to sell their majority share of the company off.Abric wrote:Link.

Re: Error 37.
That's more on the Frenchies side than Activision or Blizzard. I read a few articles about it - and they are dumping it more because the company (Vivendi) is consolidating- and Californian-based companies aren't in the cards.
Re: Error 37.
I agree that it's nothing to be worked up about. I've tried to invest in Vivendi before. When I finally got someone who could sell me a stock on the phone she was talking millions while I was hoping to buy a few hundred dollar notes... also looking at their investment portfolio it's not only massive but very diverse.
