You won't believe this (except for maybe Greebs). So after all of that Oracle Support tells me that I have 32bit applications bundled with my 64bit downloads. Because I installed them my silent configuration will always fail. So now they're asking me to uninstall and start over.

The 'deinstall' (I guess uninstall was too easy to search for or just too standard for them to use) is about twice as buggy and finnicky as the installation. It actually has the balls to force you to run what you're uninstalling...

So after fighting the uninstall script for a couple of hours I call support and they inform me that since I will never get the applications running (installed incorrectly, with their own directions) I will in turn never get the de-installation to work properly either.

After bashing their product, service and support in a long winded multi-paragraph service request update I inform them that it's actually faster for me to format my entire system and reinstall/configure Redhat, Oracle RDBMS and everything that sits on top of it.

You have to sit and think about that for a second: Their software is so busted that it's quicker to format and re-install the operating system, database and applications than to simply uninstall a single piece of software... this is truly pathetic on their part and I am floored by the lack of dedication that is evident when you attempt to use this turd.

Their database is great and magical, now if they could get their other 1000x products to work nicely I would shut the hell up.
