fallout overload

So I'm one of the biggest fans of fallout and fallout 2.

I purchased fallout 3.  I had this plan that I would wait till the of the year to play it, less it steal me away for the Wrath.

It wouldn't stop staring at me, so I installed it.

Then I thought I'd make a mild assessment, so I played it.

So its safe to say my plan has gone to complete shit and I'm now its slave.

I don't know how long I'll be, but I don't see myself putting it down anytime soon, I'm just lucky its not an MMO.

I've never played the first two games, but I'm lovin' Fallout 3 too.  There is little that gives more satisfaction than blowing an enemy to bits with a single bullet, or reducing them to a pile ashes with a laser rifle.

Yeah I'm loving it as well. Just distracted from the main quest messing around in megaton. You guys know if there is an invisible timer in this game and that the world will just blow up if i keep messing around?

That said I'm not fully pulled away from wow as yet!

I liked playing it for a bit too. wasn't too sure what to make of the whole high-tech 1960s feel though XD, but still fun ^_^

If Fallout 3 is even half the game that the first 2 were, we won't see you for some time.  One of the very few games that are more addictive then WoW, and single player even.

There is no timer. In fact, it's best to do everything before you finish the main storyline. You cannot continue the game after you complete the story involving your father.

Go back and play the originals, folks. While Fallout 3 is very cool and a worthy successor to the name, 1 & 2 are still superior games in every way except for the graphics.

Yeah I own 1 and 2 and for story i haven't played enough of this to comment but the story in the others was excellent. I do LOVE that they have changed it to FPS and the VATS system is great.

Still rocking around megaton hehe, I haven't been playing it a ton though.

I think I have the Fallout 2 CD somewhere...

I'm sure they still sell them, though you may not be able to run them on XP or Vista.  Maybe DoSBox?

Both run on XP just fine, no DOSBox required.

If you can't find them to purchase, you can easily find torrents of them for free.

I've played through them. The story is great.

We have made SO MANY STRIDES in interface design since the late 90s.

F1 and F2 run on my Vista no problems.  I had more issues with xp than vista.

Also, theres a modder by the name of Killap who has done extensive bug fixing and updating to fallout 2.

Areas that weren't finished or excluded for whatever reason are now accessible, theres extra quests.
