C'est la vie
C'est la vie
I haven't been playing much and my interest has been whittled down to something akin to what you feel when you wake up to go to work without enough sleep. By far the greatest strength of our guild is the people that it is comprised of. We've (and the ones before me/us) built a tight knit digital society based on the shared interest of roleplaying within World of Warcraft. Once you become a part of something like that it is very difficult to leave. I dragged my feet and forced myself to login when I didn't want to for a couple of months and it's not fair to both the guild or myself to continue.
So I'm stepping down as High Inquisitor and taking a break from WoW. I've taken long breaks in the past with no expectation of return and both times I came back. My subscription runs out in November but when you login at 85 and find yourself bored even though 5 levels of content are ahead of you then it's time to change the scenery.
I'll still be gaming regularly just not this one. I play any and every genre and have a strong preference towards either cooperative or competitive gameplay. So if you're down for playing something else along those lines let me know. I'll still get on the boards occasionally and I can't wait for next year's camping trip.
Live long and prosp... wait no that's not it. May the force be wi... no no that's not right either. Peace through annihilation! There that felt much better.

Hope you have fun with the new stuff, and eventually get a hankering to rejoin us. You're a large part of the reason the new BG teams were a success, and I'm sure Ley and crew are going to miss you.
Be sure to stop by and post Oracle rants when you need to also ;)

Re: C'est la vie
I can't even begin to say how sad this makes me. I understand if you're bored of the game, but I hope/wish you'd stay a part of the community here. You're one of the people that made me love this guild enough to switch from Alliance.
Re: C'est la vie
I am staying a part of the community and the guild. I'm just taking a rest instead of kicking a dead horse.
Re: C'est la vie
Best kind of horse to kick, mind you.

Re: C'est la vie
Soon as I've gotten Brass up to raiding par and the initial rush has died down, I'm definitely going to be on Minecraft more. Maybe I'll see you there?
" WARNING : Protection Tank will be Defensive. "
Re: C'est la vie
You've done a lot of great work for The Grim; I've enjoyed assisting you through the Inquisition and seeing lots of events happen. You did great in RBGs and making RP interesting.
Good day to you, sir. Thank you for a job well done.
Starcraft too.

Yes please. Get Minecraft. Much fun will be had. And hearing Ash freak out about creepers. Fun fun.Brass wrote:Soon as I've gotten Brass up to raiding par and the initial rush has died down, I'm definitely going to be on Minecraft more. Maybe I'll see you there?

Re: C'est la vie
Yea, more Starcraft! Gonna miss your orc face, Ash. We'll light a candle at the Shrine of Two Moons for you.
Re: C'est la vie
Sorry to see you go man. Especially with the x pac being so much fun. But I know what your going through for sure. Hope to see you back, but if not best of luck to you!
Re: C'est la vie
I was an inch away from buying Minecraft the other day after Aureliya told me how much fun she was having on the server. Then I read a few reviews that mentioned there is absolutely zero competition or ultimate goals to strive for. For building games I'm more partial to SimCity but I may give Minecraft a go. The creator is working a new space sim called 0x10c that I'm wanting/trying to alpha test for him but he's not that far yet.
If it goes on sale I'll definitely buy it.

Re: C'est la vie
Well, there is some competition. You need to see if the reviews include "The End".
However, having said that, then you miss the point of Minecraft. The game is in the building, not some shiny bauble in the end. It's more art than anything else, IMHO.

Ashenfury is unable to grasp the concept of art. He's Texan.
