The Malebrignon returns.

Unread post by Malebrignon »

A two-foot high obsidian tri-ryche floats into an unused corner and remains there motionless, for the most part. If observed, once an hour it spins rapidly for one minute and reveals the violet sigil of the Malebrignon. Those who understand gutterspeak will hear it whisper: "I return."

Atticus watches the stone with his arms crossed. When it speaks, he narrows his eyes and says, "Huh."

Greebo understands gutterspeak and thinks to himself "Excellent news, well-timed, he'd better have a better reason than most for his absence."

A troll warrior sits uncharacteristically silent, his attention absorbed by the black statuette floating in the void. After what seems an eternity, the object begins to spin, its winged protrusions blurring into a static flicker. An insignia, rendered in arcane violet, manifests itself. It is only at this that the troll stirs, his lips pulling back into a humorless grin. So, e' final-like decides ta reveal 'imself, he thought. In a complicated unfolding of gangly limbs, the troll warrior gets to his feet and saunters off.
