Walking by the The Grim message board in Ogrimmar you notice a curious note. A human hand stuck there by a dagger.
You pull out the dagger, the sun hits the blade, and two letters shine visibly engraved on the metal. VX.
Your curiosity gets the better of you, and examine the hilt. You seen runes on the hilt belonging to the Agamur Empire. You recognize this because of their leaders, Lunature had joined your ranks not to long ago.
Other than those two things the dagger is unremarkable.
Intrigued you look at the hand. Its a human hand. You recognize a ring on a finger, belonging to a rogue you once crossed paths before the Cataclysm. Who could have killed him you wonder. He was a master assassin, and only one of his profession could have done it. VX? You never heard of him.
You take the hand and dagger to one of your arcane mages, seeking answers. You explain to the mage what you know so far. The scholar looks at the dagger first. She explains she never heard of VX, and trembles. Only true rogues never want to be heard of, she remarks. However his name does have meaning even if its not his own. She consults the scrolls of recent history.
- VX, is an extremely toxic substance that has no known uses except in chemical warfare as a nerve agent. It is a tasteless and odorless gas. As a chemical weapon, it is classified as a weapon of mass destruction by the Horde in the United Horde Resolution 687. The production and stockpiling of VX was outlawed by the Horde Convention after the fall of the Lich King. It was mass produced by Grand Apothecary Putress but never deployed, using the New Plague instead in the Battle of Wrathgate. -
The mage expressed deep concern. Then she examined the hand. This is interesting she said, see the hand the skin has been tanned. Taking a seeing glass from her candle-lit table. There is inscription!
In the tiniest of writings, following the veins in the fingers and palm, it reads.
"I once served Lunature, now I wish to serve you."
This is very interesting, a master rogue could be useful. You consult The Grim and Lunature for more information on this rogue.
