To the brethren and sisters of The Grim, I bid you greetings,

My name is Arrachtas O'Connaill, former Knight of Lordaeron, former Knight of the Scarlet Crusade. Now... now I am a man unto myself, as I knew must come to pass, for what are we Forsaken but the cast-offs of former friends and family, treated like so much unwanted filth!

... but I digress.

I was once a man of reason, or as of much reason as a man can possess when he champions the banner of a proud nation. I thought, after my resurrection as Forsaken, that there was the chance for reconciliation with my former friends and brethren of Lordaeron. After all, had I not faithfully served Terenas Menthil in life, and died in his service? How wrong I was - how wrong all of us Forsaken were.

I seek the Grim because I have heard how, for many years, your banner has sought to sunder all that the Alliance scum stand for. Them and their 'enlightened ways'! Ways that would judge a former brother as an enemy because of nothing more than the palour of his flesh!

I have not offered my blade to the service of any for some time, but I swear if you accept my steel that you will have an ally against any and all you would destroy, Alliance or Lich King, and beyond.  Lordaeron was once father to myself, and all I needed to serve... but just as that land has rejected me, I too, now reject it in kind. I seek to serve a power that will grant me the one thing I crave most - a renewed sense of purpose, and a new banner to campaign beneath, amongst worthy brethren. A knight, as I would still consider myself, is nothing without a cause to protect.
In confidence and with respect,

- Sir Arrachtas O'Connaill
