** The scene takes place on a shady Silvermoon street, right beside a tavern. The cats are silent and you can almost hear Eversong Woods wind blowing. Two shadowed figures are facing Thales from afar, peering the Paladin before they quickly enter the pub. **
Between his blurry vision and his wine flask, Thales had a moment of lucidity; wasn't the Lusty Dragonhawk closed at this late hour? Before he could reason this existential question, the sound of magic and steel emerged from the tavern. A second later, another previously unseen shadowy figure crashed through the window and flew away as fast as a wisp in Teldrassil.
The paladin rushed inside as straightforward as he could, only to discover the two dead corpses of his future mates and a few broken furnitures. What a waste thought Thales, as he searched the rubbles for valuables before the guards would arrive.
Bah, just another murder in Murder Row, nothing unusual he told himself. As he was about to leave, the drunk spotted a small rune wich most likely dropped from the mysterious figure who ran away. '' The Madate '' could Thales reads;
Ze allyance grows everyday, wat are you weighting? Search for uss. Piece through annihilaton.
What was this nonsense? Surely a goblin prank which failed horribly in a faint explosion sound. Silverbane would nevertheless keep the rune and sleep would soon take him back to his quarters.
** A few moments later **
The Mandate
The Alliance grows everyday, what are you waiting ? Search for us. Peace through annihilation. could he now correctly read.
Peace through annihilation. Thales liked the sound of that. But what kind of organization was behind this philosophy? The reason could sadly not be found at the Lusty Dragonhawk anymore. As such, his short researches did not end up with much results. An opportunity missed, he told himself, as Silverbane was in dire need of a community, of a greater goal to pursue.
What he did not know was that the rune was magical, and that'd soon be hooked by someone who has plenty of question to ask why the stone ended up into his hands.
