Dearest grim,

I regret that my presence has not been felt as of late. My studies into the energies that back this invasion, and the essence of what they may mean, has taken both my concentration and my time. Know though, that I still seek to assist the mandate in any way that I can, though my actions may be hampered. But know, what I do is of the utmost importance to my own goals, and must not be impeded.

As such, I am sending my confidant and bodyguard as a surrogate. Though his intelligence may leave much to be desired, his enthusiam, does not. He has assisted myself for many years, and has proven himself as a loyal companion. He has served the mandate in the past, and I know he will do so with honor in the future. Frankly, having him away from my library would be a welcome respite, both for the brute and me. Accept this idiot with my thanks.
