Grim Views

*A scroll arrives covered in illegible marks and scratchings, but in the center of the scroll a message is clearly written.*

To whom it may concern,
In my recent travels I have learned of your organization. My concern is with the survival of the horde, and I believe that you share that concern. Specifically, you are wiling to do what is necessary and sacrifice, when necessary, in order to ensure the horde's survival. I am seeking you out because I wish to join your organization and help remove those who would threaten our existence.

PS I apologize for the scratch work in the margins of this letter. I am surrounded by scrolls and yet I cannot find a blank one.

A cacophony of screeching homunculi nearly drowned out the embattled roars of Khorvis within the Halls of the Inquisition. Having ordered the Archive's reserve of sorting familiars to be transported into the disarray of his office, the High Inquisitor had grown foolhardy with his assumption that he could wrangle the little beasties and direct their energies for a quick cleanup.

Not so. After opening the cage wardings, the leather-winged anti-cherubs whipped past the startled orc in a frenzy of freed inhibitions long corralled by either the Archivist or his mute henchmen. Khorvis scrambled to regain order but, after tearing the leg off of one of the slower homunculi, he gave up and cursed the giggling bedlam.

Hewing at his goatee braids, the High Inquisitor snatched the scroll clutched in the dying claws of his wounded familiar and set about the penning of a furious response.

Many who do seek out the Grim ride with only the intent of slaughter and bloodletting. Few arrive at our gates already committed to our true purpose - the defense of the Horde.

I do welcome your intent. It must be tested, as do all of those who think to champion the Mandate. Show your face before the Inquisition and let your desires live fuller lives than ink on paper.
