A Patient Courier

Unread post by Kiannis »

Perched atop The Grim's notice board is a snowy white eagle. Clutched in its talon is a rolled sheet of crisp parchment sealed with an glob of red wax bearing a simplified Icon of Blood. The eagle waits silently, pecking under a wing on occasion.
To whom it may concern;
--I seek audience with the person or persons in charge of admission to the organization known as The Grim. I have spent far too long wandering without affiliation or purpose, and seek to direct my cunning, steady hands, and sure aim to the higher purpose of eliminating every enemy opposing the unstoppable might of the horde armies. It has come to my attention that The Grim top the list of groups fitting this purpose. My kin and I are no strangers to strife, and you will find me willing and able to address any responsibilities imposed upon me in this time of war.
--Awaiting reply, I will be boarded in the Warspear Tavern

~K. Ash'Therod

Despite the impeccable script the paper has a heavy, smokey scent, and several stained droplets of liquor about it.

The red haired priestess went strolling along the guildhalls, and found herself drawn to the notice board. Atop this noticeboard, was a lovely eagle.

"Yo." She says to the bird and as she is quite used to interesting ways of the mail finding itself in the Grim's clutches, she holds her hand out expectantly.

"Give it!" She demands, but gently. "Oh, and don't go anywhere, I'll want you to take a response back to your master...or mistress, or whoever the hell sent you." The bird flew off as it's job here was done. The troll could only watch in annoyance. "Wutevah."

After reading the missive she turns on a heel to find some paper to respond. She's frequently at the Brokenspear Tavern, so she'll leave the Grim's message with Narnin or Lina'gar. Most likely Lina'gar since she and Lilly get along so well and she didn't treat Syreena half bad when the little rogue worked there. Lilliana went to find Khorvis and Ruuki to see if either of them had anything to add to her little missive. Whether they do or don't, Lilliana's letter to K. Ash'Therod is simple and reads:
"Dear K. Ash'Therod,

You can seek audience with us this Monday evening at 8:30pm by the goblin clock. Find either myself, Ruuki or Khorvis, the High Inquisitor on that night for the location. Just so you know, we aren't coming to you, you'll have to come to us. Show us that you can be part of the mandate if you really understand the "responsabilities imposed upon you in this time of war".
