A tightly rolled scroll lay acrossed a desk that it shouldn't, personal chambers to the Commander of the mandate Awatu Stonespire. How did this letter get here? Whom was it from? Only one way to find out from here. The letter was etched in perfect calligraphy and seemed to arc it's words with an accent given with class and sophistication. The letter read as follows:
Grim
Greetings from one that seeks similar ends if not even in similar methods. I am codename Knight, also called Silent "K". I seek an audience with your court at once to discuss a partnership of sorts. If you are as intrigued by myself as I am by you then hang a red cloth atop the door to the auction house in Orgimmar. If you are not then hang blue. I am watching and waiting.
"K"

Re: Codename Knight
A game.
Awatu did not hate games, but he did not enjoy them. And this applicant sought one. They had kept their name hidden behind an alias and possessed a means to deliver a letter that bypassed normal means. Clearly, this was a rogue of some skill. Perhaps useful, but playing 'cat and mouse' was an easy way to get under his hide. There were more meaningful prey to hunt.
The penmanship of the letter left little to hide the fact that it was a Sin'dorei. An Orc or Troll would not seek such 'codenames' under normal circumstances, and a Goblin would ramble for much longer while including a mention of gold. A Forsaken? Perhaps, though it was not a piece of skin as they seem fond of sending to him. The Tauren was perfectly certain he could construct one of those festering abominations out of all the skin notes left for The Grim...
So, he decided that he was dealing with a Sin'dorei thief. Or assassin. Whatever they wish to call themselves. The use of cloth to signal interest in the applicant was a new one, however. He was tempted to post a blue cloth if only to irritate the little infiltrator, but he was somewhat intrigued by what this one had to say. Leaving the letter in the High Inquisitor's office, he made his way to Orgrimmar to play this little game.
Tacked on the wall outside the Orgrimmar auction house, a battered tabard bearing the The Grim standard flaps slowly in the stale breeze. On the inside is a note that reads "Seek out the Shadowblade. Do not disappoint."
Sometimes games can be fun.

Re: Codename Knight
The small green skinned orphan did as instructed and soon the letter was in her hand and she smiled at prospect of new entertainment and possibly new source of currency. True to her word she patted the boy atop his head and handed him The red balloon with a crudely drawn horde symbol upon it and sent him about his way. "Seek the shadowblade" she thought to herself, "There can only be one". With little more thought on the matter "K" hopped off the small thatched roof she was perched upon and headed toward the only scum she knew would have information on this "shadowblade". She suspected she knew whom the Commander meant, but security was everything and she needed more planning before preceding. Sarwyx Goldteeth was only too happy to see the slender woman as she entered his establishment and with a bit of convincing "K" was sure he'd pass on the message to this "Shadowblade" for a meet and greet.
Re: Codename Knight
Syreena scowled as she read the note left in her office. Like Awatu, she also came to the conclusion that the author was a blood elf for one simple reason: whenever someone annoyed her at first contact, more often than not it was an elf.
"Code names and colored flag games. Are we in Warsong Gulch?" she muttered to Ber, her little worg pet. "Like I have time for this with a dozen supplicants to keep track of and new applicants every day."
Later, when the goblin came to ask her about an introduction meeting with the mysterious person, the little rogue shoved one of her office hours flyers at him and sent him on his way with only one instruction.
"Tell your friend I like presents."

Re: Codename Knight
"K" was elated to see the goblin come marching into the cleft of shadows with his newly acquired flyer. Grinning she tossed him his reward, a rare wine he sought, and made preparation for the meeting. "What luck!" she thought to herself as she noted the location. "The arenas are perfect for our rendezvous. I'll plant a few tricks, just in case, and be there with bells on."
Silently she slunk away, positively a buzz with the potential in new business.
