Crumped envelope arrives

Grim,

Upon the prompting from Frya, a mage acquaintance, I pen this letter with the intent to offer my weapons and skills to the furtherance of the Grim banner.

I am a soldier. I follow orders. I ask for little but to be given direction to fight to the best of my ability. It is all I know and all I care to know.

There are many among the Grim who hold status and titles to be respected and I show respect by submitting myself as a soldier willing to learn under the same banner in order to one day achieve the same as my current betters.
