Re: I am at work at the library, on a Monday night, and you...

Star Wars novels are like Twilight novels.  Only fanbois like that tripe. Hey, some cultures enjoy eating tripe! That said, I cannot in any way be called a Star Wars fanboy. Didn't bother to watch the third "prequel", since watching the first two assured me that the last one would be like...

Comparing the appeal of an entire series of fiction written by multiple authors to a single series by one terrible author?  Man, you've got no kindling for your flame.

Let's not forget http://www.amazon.com/Shadows-Empire-Star-Steve-Perry/dp/0553574132/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1276830199&sr=1-1 too! That's a good one.  Though after years of reading Star Wars fiction, I've sort of narrowed by "must read" list down to: The Thrawn Trilogy...

Ah, sci-fi books. I love going to the library and snagging the collection of Young Jedi Knights books, or Tales from the Bounty Hunters, or Tales from the Cantina. They never have WoW books, though... /nerd Okay, so that's a good start...but you really need to get some Zahn in your life. http://www...

Re: I am at work at the library, on a Monday night, and you...

Leyujin wins for reading old Battletech novels.  Seriously, I just reread the Warrior trilogy like, 2 months ago.  As for Sci-fi, Yichi, that's true, and certainly I don't feel bad for the time I've sunk into reading (re-reading) Dune.  Or Lord of the Rings.  Or the Silmarillian.  Or really anything...

Ah reading.  Alas, that I'm one of those people who mostly reads crap these days.  To my credit, I did read Moby Dick when I was 14...for fun.

Though I don't think I've read anything that wasn't sci-fi or fantasy in a few years.

Re: Lilliane

On a small stool in an entirely uncomfortable tent, Faeriel listened to the recounting of the incident from her stable girl.  She was rather pleased that her efforts to teach the little wretch proper conversational recall were finally paying off.  She spoke carefully and accurately, and when the tal...

Ignoring the usual rambling, this is most excellent.  At this rate, we might actually be able to field a proper cadre of Knights.
