I played around with the character creation system at PAX and it was extensive and awesome. One bit they didn't show on the video was the aging system. There is an age slider that will affect your entire body--not just your face. I made an old, spindly caster--even her hands looked appropriately age...

Niiiiiice.... It also means I can roll alts on other servers and put them in the guild, since, uh, I've maxed out my characters here.

This is pretty similar to how they've done the previous expansions, too. A patch day with terrible extended maintenance, then no maintenance on launch day.
