THE GRIM MANDATE (IC)<\/strong><\/p>\n

You hold in your hands the Mandate of the Grim Echo. \u00a0Contained herein is our purpose and the guidelines we follow. \u00a0This Mandate is the core of our existence. \u00a0Our prospective members will learn of the Word; our seasoned veterans know it, breathe it, and embody it to the fullest.<\/p>\n

A Grim Purpose<\/strong>
\nThe complete destruction of the enemies of Eorzea is the goal towards which we strive.\u00a0 We have transcended whatever loyalties we might have held in the past, and instead fight for the freedom of all who live here.\u00a0 We challenge the warmachine of the Garlean Empire, and we refuse to live as slaves to the Primals.\u00a0 We defy anyone, man or god, who attempts to shackle us.<\/p>\n

That victory will not come easily, and our enemies are overwhelming; we are but one sword set against a thousand.\u00a0 To win, we will need power – but as always, Hydaelyn provides.\u00a0 Buried all around this continent are the ruins of ancient empires and the relics of their wars: an armory of weapons, just waiting for new wielders.\u00a0 Waiting for us.<\/p>\n

There is nothing we cannot turn to our advantage, nothing that cannot be used to destroy.\u00a0 We will seek out the grim echoes of the past, and we will turn them into hope for the future.\u00a0 This is the promise of the Grim, and we will be unrelenting in fulfilling it.<\/p>\n

The Grim Conduct<\/strong>
\nMany see our ways as amoral. \u00a0They believe we take things too far and are too extreme to be truly effective. \u00a0We say they are weak in mind and reason. \u00a0We do what must be done with neither regret nor remorse. \u00a0If this determination is decried as evil, then we will reply that history will vindicate us. \u00a0We are as calculating as we are driven; thus, we have rules in place for the conduct of our members.<\/p>\n

– The Grim Echo is as much its members as it is the ideal. \u00a0Each member of the Grim will remember that they are companions in the fight against our enemies. \u00a0While one may not respect the person, they will respect the cause and their guild mate\u2019s place in it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Our loyalty is to Eorzea and the freedom of its people. \u00a0We must understand we are not alone in our struggle.\u00a0 Eorzea has many like-minded heroes who will take the necessary steps of survival and so we will show them proper respect. \u00a0Just because they are not Grim now, does not mean they will not be Grim soon.<\/p>\n

THE GRIM MANDATE (OOC)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Grim strive to set an example for role playing on Balmung.\u00a0 Each member of the Grim should be in character at all times, unless in a designated out of character channel. \u00a0Most game related topics can be worded in character and we try to remain as immersed in the world as we can.\u00a0 Sometimes this is difficult, and sometimes you may think it makes you look silly – but persevere, because it always pays off in the long run.<\/p>\n

The Grim Conduct<\/strong>
\nWe welcome evil characters, and although our goals are good our methods are often extreme. Because of this, some Grim characters have very anti-social qualities. \u00a0While role playing should never be restricted, it should never reach a point where your character is unapproachable without drama. \u00a0Conflict will happen, but remember to keep it in character. \u00a0If you feel that something your character will do may offend or otherwise come off as very “bad”, give the person(s) you are role playing with an OOC whisper, just to give them a warning and that it’s nothing personal. \u00a0A little OOC reminder goes a long way to prevent miscommunication.<\/p>\n

A large guild has many personalities and opinions, which increases the chance of OOC conflict. \u00a0There are too many people here to have a guild free from any disagreements. \u00a0If you feel someone is not treating you with proper OOC respect, let them know specifically what it was you found offensive. \u00a0They might not know they have offended you.<\/p>\n

Continued out of character disrespect between members is not acceptable. \u00a0While many people have different views, we are all here to play a game. \u00a0Guild leaders will not babysit you, and we will cut the bad grape from the vine if you cannot get along with your fellow players. \u00a0Racism and sexual harassment will never be tolerated and will lead to immediate removal.<\/p>\n

The Grim do not condone situations that can be considered griefing.\u00a0 Remember that you are always wearing our tag, and your actions – no matter how minor – reflect on us.\u00a0 Ruining someone else’s day just for the giggles is beneath you, and us.<\/p>\n

A Grim Structure<\/strong>
\nAs with any organizations, the Grim needs decision makers and mediators. \u00a0While each member is expected to abide by the rules set forth by the Grim’s leaders, they cannot make those rules intelligently without your input. \u00a0All members \u2013 new or old \u2013 are encouraged to express their opinion or thoughts on all guild matters. \u00a0Feedback is the only way we can make the Grim even better.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
