GRIM RANKS & STRUCTURE

The document you hold is a detailed description of the rank and responsibility of the Grim. These are in place for a structured and organized way of fighting and conducting the workings of the guild. Each rank holds its place within the Grim, and each rank should be respected not for its name but rather for the work and deeds it represents.

  • Shadowblade
Each who has taken up the responsibility of the keeping of the Mandate has chosen his or her own title.  The leader of the Grim has always been the Mandate's greatest servant, for not only must he or she be devoted to his or her own path, he or she must also serve each member of the Grim with endless sacrifice, justice and fidelity.  It is his or her responsibility to see that the Word is upheld by all who follow it, and the failures of those below the guild leader are borne on his or her shoulders as well.
  • Irredeemable
The Irredeemables are the guild leader's most trusted advisors.  They serve by taking on special assignments to help the Grim succeed in its goals, and offer their ideas and dedication to help improve the workings of the guild.  The Irredeemables consist of the Seeker, the Hand, the Keeper, and the High Inquisitor.
  • Dreadweaver
The Dreadweavers are the specialized officer corps.  They consist of Grim who work closely with the guild leader and the Irredeemables to help the guild run smoothly.
  • Inquisitor
These are Grim who have been appointed by the High Inquisitor to aid in the testing of the Grim's Minions.  Inquisitors observe their subjects, question, test them and make their reports to the High Inquisitor.  They also help the Minion with any questions or concerns, IC or OOC, they may have.  They work closely with their Minions, showing them what it is to be Grim, through and through - ultimately, their goal is both to guard the gate to the path that means a deeper service to the Mandate, and to aid the Minion in forging the key to it for him or herself.
  • Harbinger
Harbingers are the Grim elite.  These are servants of the Mandate who have been observed to continually display, both IC and OOC, what it truly means to be Grim.  They are our deadliest fighters, our most dedicated roleplayers, our most involved Grim.  They are active both in game and on the website and are always prepared for the battle ahead.  When a person joins the Grim and looks around to see who they can take as their example of the finest amongst us, the Harbingers are to whom their eyes will turn.
  • Warbringer
Once someone attains the rank of Warbringer, he or she is finally able to be truly called Grim.  They have endured their time as Minion under the tutelage and watchful eye of their Inquisitor, and have succeeded in proving that they are not just here to be in the Grim - but that they are Grim at heart.  Warbringers are awarded their tabards on the date of promotion, when they can finally take their place among the tried and tested servants of the Mandate.
  • Minion
Minions are those members who are new to us and have shown that they have the willingness and potential to begin their testing to become Grim.  They have proven themselves to be eager if not yet skilled, respectful even when not respected, and determined.  The road they walk may be a constant struggle for them and they must bear in mind that they will be treated according to their dedication and drive to prove themselves.  Minions will spend three months as such, the end of which will see them having earned the right to advance - or having earned the fate of being cast out.
  • Supplicant
A supplicant is one who has passed the initial interview process and has been inducted into the ranks of the Grim.  The High Inquisitor will work to match them with their potential Inquisitor during this time, and once they have been assigned to an Inquisitor, the process of becoming Grim will begin in earnest.

Activity Policy
The Grim expect dedication and active in guild discussions/events.  Members absent without notice for more than 30 days may be removed from the guild.  Members not checking the site without notice for more than two weeks may be removed from the guild.  Should a member be removed for unexpected inactivity, he or she will be given the opportunity to return when he or she is able.  Should such disappearances become a trend, the player will be invited to explore other guild opportunities.
