In an attempt to destroy Stormwind from afar, the Grim had developed a plan to use Ragnaros’s energies, contained within a cannon shell, to be fired from Bilgewater Harbor against the White City. The plan was derailed due to the efforts of the Praetorian Guard, a highly trained Alliance military outfit that struck several successful raids against Grim depots that housed the materials needed for the superweapon.

With the final destruction of the Grim’s warehouse of Living Flame, a vital secondary ingredient to the Doom of Stormwind, work on the weapon was halted. The Grim’s efforts had been thwarted.

However, a battle lost does not mean the war. While the Praetorian Guard had been making gains against the Grim’s project, the Grim had been studying and working to counter the Guard’s tactics. These bore fruit in Tol Barad, where the Grim, in conjunction with other Horde forces from the Crimson Fang and the Dragonhawk Brigade, blocked, then reversed a Guard push into the North island. Eventually the Guard had to abandon Tol Barad, leaving the Horde dominant.

During these battles, the Grim’s other forces were not idle. The Raider war groups, the Reapers and the Slayers, steadily cut their way through Deathwing’s minions, as surely as death itself. Recently, the Annihilators, a third war group, have been mobilized, reinforced by allies from the Dragonhawk Brigade. On the fifteenth of December, the Reapers slew Deathwing himself, alongside other Horde forces. The Slayers have continued to clear out Deathwing’s minions from his bastion, while the Annihilators are close to destroying the remainder of Ragnaros’s forces.

While the battle with the Alliance was fought on the open field, two Grim war groups emerged near the end of the year of the Cataclysm. The Siegebreakers had started early after Deathwing’s return, to serve as a focal point for the Grim’s coordinated efforts on the battlegrounds. The Pillagers began in the second half of the year, as the Siegebreaker’s numbers swelled beyond that of a single war group.

While the Superweapon’s failure ended the Grim’s intentions of ending the war in one blow, the debacle has simply galvanized the followers of the Mandate to spread out their efforts, attacking their foes on all fronts. The Onslaught now takes the war to Deathwing’s remaining minions, small-scale strikes against fortified delves, raids against Alliance capitals, and recently an incursion into Ashenvale. The Grim realize the war between the Horde and the Alliance, sparked to a flame by Garrosh Hellscream’s belligerence, will soon become a blazing inferno, and they stand ready to implement the steps necessary to achieve the final fulfillment of the Mandate. This is a time of transition and changes, and the Grim are preparing for the imminent battles to come. Peace through Annihilation.

Tol Barad wuz silent. Wit’ near-like tree fists o’ Grim, an’ half a fist’s worth o’ Crimson Fang soldjas, we wuz chompin’ at da bit. Wit’out prey ta hunt, der wuz no need ta remain, so we argued aboot where ta go next. Ashenfury declared that a gud fight could be ‘ad in da Hellfire Peninsula. Hmm, one place hovahs in space, da otha Peninsula an island in da watah. Wundah wut da Loa made o’ dat. While we found roughly tree o’ four hoomans an’ da like prowlin’ around Honah Hold, an’ a lone Draenei priestess, only da local grunts were in presence. An’ we all know ‘ow tough footmon kin be. We visited da local hooman commandah an’ cut ‘im down; da spirit healahs would hav sum trouble gettin’ dat ‘un up agin. Not nearly sated, ah ordered us ta travel ta Ironforge, ta lay siege ta its gates. A gud fight wuz not ta be found ‘ere.

Dat sed, da few blue badges around Hellfire, like dat Draenei priestess, caused mo’ a nusiance den dey shoulda. Da demon-goat rallied anotha an’ ambushed Ashenfury an’ Deminthus. Gotta make sho we keep closed ranks upon leavin’ nex’ time. We set off ba zeppelin an’ arrived at da dwarven city’s entrance. Aftah Goldshiyah, ah waried o’ gettin’ engulfed in anotha tide o’ blue, so ah ordahed our war group ta progress in stages troo da city. Caution kin be well rewahded.

But when der noting around, blow dat shit ta da four winds! Findin’ no resistance, we decided ta pick a target o’ opportunity; da Dwarven Council. Kailei took Muradin, me da terrible two. Ah sed ah ‘ad a grudge aginst da Wildhammahs; bastahds bin slayin’ Trolls in da Hintahlands fo’ long time, killin’ our kin, an’ lettin’ dose scruffy arse bird tings loose aboot da place. Dey kill children, joo know. Shit real nasty too ta boot.

Da Alliance musta bin neglectin’ der stunty brothas. We ‘ad little trouble cept fo’ da council an’ da squat pots. Unlike footmen, dey kin acshully cause a bit o’ trouble. Who’da tought bein’ shortah meant bettah? We’d nearly slain da Dark Iron princess ba da time anybody ‘sides guards showed up. Wut Ironforge be doin’, consortin’ wit’ dat lot be beyond ma ken. But ba da time we’d shifted ta da blue an’ pink dwarf, da cavalry wuz startin’ ta arrive. But dey be no match fo’ da Grim an’ da Fangs. We kept gud ordah, drivin’ out ta destroy massin’ opposition befo’ returnin’ ta our grim task. Wildhammah wuz down, an’ all dat remained wuz da Bronzebeard’s brotha.

Muradin be no Magni. Da Mountain’s brotha fell, an’ tho da shades o’ Moira an’ Falstad wuz back ta give battle, it wuz time ta make gud our victory an’ exit da scene. We battered our way troo guards an’ ‘ad an easy time o’ reachin ‘da Deeprun. Every’un wanted ta go on a train ride, so ah wuzna gonna sey no. That sed, best way ta pour salt in da wound o’ da foe be ta defeat wit’out bein’ defeated. At da end o’ our lil trip, ah ordered a portal ordah back ta Orgrimmah. Da Grim an’ its allies ‘ad struck wit’ a war group an’ a half, an’ left da dwarf leadahs strewn across da floor. Peace troo Annihilation.

Tol Barad wuz all quiet. Though our efforts ta construct da Doom o’ Stormwind ‘ave bin disrupted severe-like due ta Praetorian Guard raids, in all tings sumtimes da battle be lost but not da war. Our recent efforts in Tol Barad ‘ad driven out da blue badges; we found no prey der. Der wuz blood in da air an’ ah knew we wuzna in da mood ta wait around fo’ da blues ta come ta us. Pickin’ da likeliest place fo’ a fight, ah ordered da war group ta move onta Elwynn Forest. Stormwind… ah, Stormwind be too big trouble nowadays, so we fought down sout’ a lil. At Goldshiyah.

Da town be near enuff dat it makes lil difference. We ‘ad Alliance droppin’ in on us in around tree minutes. Ba five it wuz a skirmish, ba eight, as many as us. In Tol Barad we fought on contested ground, wit’out eitha side havin’ an advantage. ‘ere, it wuz der home turf. Ah ordahed us ta withdraw an’ regroup, but it wuz too late an’ we wuz run down. We reformed our ranks in twos an’ trees, den planted ourselves sout’ o’ da town. We tried ta keep our lines solid an’ move fowahd in steps… but Goldshiyah be like a hornet’s nest, joo kick it once an’ da buzz donna go away but builds. We wuz quickly fightin’ our numbahs an’ mo. Tho we slew many, still down we went.

We regrouped down ba da rivah between Elwynn an’ da Duskwood. We knew we’d face heavy resistance agin, but couldna’ resist a partin’ shot. Sumtimes joo gotta git all da shakes out troo battle. One last melee ensued, befo’ da inevitable end came. We came back ta our bodies in ones an’ twos, an’ melted away back ta Orgrimmah. Goldshiyah would not be gettin’ a visit soon.

Two weeks ago, our patrol o’ Tol Barad erupted inta fightin’ real early-like. We’d scarce poked outside o’ Hellscream’s Grasp when we ran inta Alliance forces patrollin’ da Restless Front. We clashed like two stumblin’ mountain giants, neitha prepared yet fo’ a full-out engagement. Our lines separated as we an’ da Alliance alike regrouped, but only fo’ a moment. Holdin’ our position, we let da Guard fall upon our position, ta break aginst our anvil o’ mendahs an’ ta fall ta our warriahs blades an’ hammahs. Drivin’ off da blue badges, we consolidated our forces in da Restless Front.

Howevah, da Praetorians dinna stay outta da fight fo’ long. Dey returned ta launch anotha charge, ta try an’ break us, but ba den we ‘ad picked up reinforcements from stragglahs in da Peninsula. Ah’d also ‘eard dat Raven Cross skirmishahs ‘ad bin makin’ trouble fo’ dem as well. Distracted an’ fragmented, da Alliance assault wuz quickly repelled. Our forces followed aftah like wolves aftah da scent o’ blood. We chased dem off troo da northern bridge an’ da far reaches o’ da peninsula. Da Front finally secured, we returned ta Orgrimmah. Peace troo Annihilation!

We assembled our forces togetha ta begin da hunt fo’ da blue badges. Der seemed like a lotta activity on da front tanight; lotsa Horde performin’ patrols o’ completin’ tasks fo’ da Base Camp. We gathered at da midwestern bridge an’ sent out our scouts. Jul’kah found dem at da north beach cliffs. Knowin’ dis be one o’ der defensive spots, ah ordered our war group ta pull up short an’ establish our lines.

Da Alliance decided not ta fight der, tho. Da Guard an’ der auxiliaries went west, an’ we follered. Dat be when da battle wuz joined. As da lines clashed, da usual tango began, o’ da fallen comin’ back ta da battle like a drumbeat. Our experience fightin’ da Praetorian’s haz taught us much, howevah. Der healahs fell one ba one, an’ da blues ordered a retreat ta preserve der force.

Dey wuzna out fo’ da count tho; we Horde know dat well ba now. We re-engaged at da same point on da Restless Front. Ba now, half da island knew o’ da ruckus, an’ we ‘ad reinforcements from various Horde skirmishahs, as well as from Raven Cross outridahs. Spymastah Crutch showed up wit’ a few in tow, an’ helped keep da Guard’s mendahs occupied.

Dat wuzna da least o’ da pinkskins worries. Tho Alliance stragglahs joined der ranks, da Guard ‘ad stirred up a hornet’s nest o’ Horde. Da lines swelled till we ‘ad near-like tree fists fightin’ on each side. Da chaos o’ da otha Horde soldjas efforts, combined wit’ our war group as da anvil, meant da Praetorian Guard force couldna’ establish enuff o’ a counterattack ta drive us away. Harried from all cornahs, dey broke, an’ da field wuz left ta da Horde… an’ ta da Grim.

Continue reading »]]> We knew da Alliance would try agin aftah sniffin’ out dat we knew dey wuz comin’ two weeks ago. Fortunate-like, our storage urn o’ Livin’ Flames wuz in Wintahgrasp. Enuff Horde troops der owe me dat ah al’ays know wut be happenin’ der. So when Scout Orgrar called in on da hearth, we rallied two fists dat wuz standin’ ba an’ took da firs’ Zeppelin ta da Tundra.

We arrived at da towah as we ‘eard da Alliance incomin’ on gryphons. Dey seemed a bit skittish, spent a while scoutin’ out our position. Den dey engaged. We fought at da base o’ da towah. Took a while ta get der mendahs isolated, an’ whenevah we took one down, anotha would return ta da battle short-like. Wuz aboot a quarter hour passed befo’ der strike team withdrew ta regroup.

Dey came again wit’in a few minutes; dis time der assault broke our lines. Even wit’ a nearby spirit healah, we wuzna’ able ta return quickly enuff ta break der momentum. As da last o’ our forces fell, da Praetorians an’ der allies stormed da cache.

Ashenfury, Kylok, Arrothien, Aureliya, Daviani, Guduk, Kailei, Sikta an’ Knithawk at da end composed da defense corp. Tho we fell in da end, da Grim acknowledges dose who fought ta fulfill da Mandate dat day.
